TOUR ITINERARY

DAY 1: CASABLANCA → RABAT

Welcome to Morocco! Your 12-day adventure begins with a warm meet-and-greet at Mohammed V International Airport in Casablanca. Your local guide will be waiting to ensure a smooth start to your journey.

Your first stop is the spectacular Hassan II Mosque, an architectural masterpiece set right on the edge of the Atlantic Ocean. You will be amazed by its towering minaret (one of the tallest in the world), exquisite marble carvings, and intricate tile work.

Following the mosque visit, you will travel north to Morocco’s vibrant capital, Rabat. Here, you will discover historical landmarks such as the iconic Hassan Tower and wander through the picturesque, blue-and-white Oudayas Kasbah, which offers a brilliant introduction to the country's heritage. Afterwards, we will drop you off at your Rabat accommodation to relax. (Note: If your flight arrives late at night, we will transfer you directly to a hotel in Casablanca to rest before beginning the tour the following day).

DAY 2: RABAT → CHEFCHAOUEN

After a delightful hotel breakfast, you will set off for the enchanting town of Chefchaouen, nestled high in the scenic Rif Mountains. The drive takes about four hours, passing through a picturesque landscape of rolling green hills and traditional farming villages.

Upon arriving in Chefchaouen, you will check into your riad and have the rest of the day to explore at your own pace. Wander through the famous maze-like Medina, instantly recognizable by its striking blue-painted buildings. Discover local artisanal crafts in the bustling souks, or simply relax at a terrace café in the main square to enjoy some authentic Moroccan cuisine. Be sure to keep your camera handy, as every corner of this town is incredibly photogenic.

DAY 3: CHEFCHAOUEN → VOLUBILIS → MEKNES → FES

Start your morning with a fresh breakfast at your riad before embarking on a scenic drive through the tranquil Rif Mountains. Your first major destination is Volubilis, an ancient Roman city dating back to the 3rd century. You will have time to walk among the remarkably well-preserved ruins, admiring grand public buildings and intricate floor mosaics that offer a window into Roman life.

Next, the journey continues to Meknes, the 17th-century capital of Morocco. Following a pleasant lunch, you will explore the city’s ancient walled Medina. Highlights include the magnificent Bab el Mansour gate—a triumph of Moroccan architectural design—and the sacred Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail.

After a full day of historical discovery, you will drive to Fes and check into a beautiful traditional riad, where you can unwind in a serene courtyard for the evening. Driving

DAY 4: UNCOVER THE MAGIC OF FES WITH A GUIDED DISCOVERY

Today is entirely dedicated to uncovering the vibrant history and cultural depth of Fes alongside a professional local guide.

Your exploration begins at the imposing golden gates of the Royal Palace. From there, you will plunge into the labyrinthine alleys of the ancient Medina (a UNESCO World Heritage Site). Your guide will lead you to the city's most significant landmarks, including the world-renowned Al-Qarawiyyin University, the beautifully adorned Al-Attarine Madrasa, the historic Nejjarine Fountain, and the iconic, colourful Chouara Tanneries.

You will also explore the "Mellah" (the historic Jewish quarter) to learn about the Jewish community's deep contributions to the city's heritage. The tour concludes at an ancient hilltop fortress, offering a breathtaking panoramic view over the sprawling Medina. You will then return to your riad for a restful evening.

DAY 5: FES → IFRANE → MIDDLE ATLAS MOUNTAINS → ZIZ VALLEY → MERZOUGA DESERT

Prepare for a dramatic shift in scenery as you travel from the medieval streets of Fes to the golden dunes of the Sahara.

The morning drive takes you through the pristine, European-style alpine town of Ifrane before entering the dense cedar forests of the Middle Atlas Mountains. Here, we will make a special stop to observe wild Barbary apes in their natural habitat.

After stopping for lunch at a selected restaurant, the route descends into the spectacular Ziz Valley, a massive gorge blanketed by a lush palm tree oasis. By the late afternoon, you will arrive at the edge of the Merzouga desert.

You will trade your vehicle for a camel, embarking on a majestic caravan trek across the Erg Chebbi dunes. You will pause on a high crest to watch a spectacular desert sunset before arriving at your luxury desert camp. Freshen up in your private tent, enjoy a delectable traditional dinner, and spend the evening around a roaring bonfire listening to lively Berber drumming under a brilliantly starry sky.

DAY 6: IMMERSIVE EXPLORATION OF THE MERZOUGA DESERT

Wake up early to witness a breathtaking sunrise painting the dunes. After a hearty camp breakfast, you can choose to return to the town of Merzouga via camel trek or a 4x4 vehicle.

Today is dedicated to exploring the wonders of the Merzouga region. First, you will visit the village of Khamlia, famous for its soulful Gnawa music performed by locals whose ancestry traces back to Southern Africa. Next, you will take an off-road track to M'Fis, an abandoned mining village where galena (used to make traditional cosmetics) was once heavily excavated.

The exploration continues with a visit to a local nomadic family living in traditional Berber tents near the dunes. Share a warm cup of tea with them and learn about their unique, resilient way of life.

Following lunch, you will check into a beautiful local riad to relax by the pool. In the late afternoon, you can opt for an adrenaline-filled quad biking or buggy adventure, or simply take a peaceful walk into the dunes to watch another incredible sunset. Dinner and your overnight stay will be at the riad.

DAY 7: MERZOUGA DESERT → RISSANI → TODRA GORGE → DADES GORGE

Enjoy breakfast at your riad before beginning the journey west towards the Dades Gorge.

Your first stop is the historic town of Rissani. If you visit on a market day (Sunday, Tuesday, or Thursday), you will have the chance to explore its bustling, traditional souk—a sensory experience full of vibrant colours, spices, and local energy.

The route then leads to the spectacular Todra Gorge. You will have time to walk through this breathtaking natural canyon, dwarfed by sheer rock walls towering overhead. Continuing into the Dades Valley, you will encounter the fascinating geological rock formations known as "monkey fingers." The scenic drive through the valley offers a visual feast of rugged cliffs and lush greenery before you arrive at your comfortable hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

DAY 8: DADES GORGE → OUARZAZATE → AIT BEN HADDOU → HIGH ATLAS MOUNTAINS → MARRAKECH

Today’s journey takes you to Ouarzazate, affectionately known as the "Hollywood of Africa." Here, you will have the exciting opportunity to visit the Atlas Studios, Morocco's largest film studio, to see where iconic cinematic sets were brought to life.

Next, you will visit the legendary Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou. This incredibly preserved, UNESCO-listed clay fortress has served as a backdrop for epic films like The Mummy, Prince of Persia, and the series Game of Thrones. You will have time to wander its ancient, winding alleyways and marvel at the earthen architecture.

After lunch at a local restaurant, the drive ascends into the majestic High Atlas Mountains, offering countless panoramic viewpoints of Morocco's rugged terrain. By late afternoon, you will descend into the vibrant city of Marrakech and check into a charming riad located in the heart of the Medina. You can enjoy dinner at your riad or venture out to a restaurant overlooking the lively Jemaa El-Fna Square.

DAY 9: EXPLORE MARRAKECH WITH OUR EXPERT GUIDE

After a delicious breakfast at your riad, you will meet your knowledgeable local guide for a comprehensive tour of Marrakech.

Prepare to uncover the rich history behind the city's most iconic landmarks, including the stunning Bahia Palace, the Saadian Tombs, the intricately decorated Ben Youssef Madrassa, the towering Koutoubia Mosque, and the endlessly entertaining Jemaa El-Fna Square.

Following lunch, you can choose how to spend your afternoon: explore the modern district of Gueliz and the tranquil, vibrant Majorelle Garden, or simply head back to your riad to relax. As evening approaches, we recommend heading to one of the rooftop cafés surrounding Jemaa El-Fna to sip a drink, watch the sunset, and observe the square come alive with street performers and food stalls.

DAY 10: MARRAKECH → ESSAOUIRA

Leave the busy city behind as you travel west to the breezy coastal town of Essaouira. Cradled by 15th-century Portuguese fortifications, this lively fishing town is famous for its historical charm, bohemian atmosphere, and excellent surf.

The UNESCO-listed Medina is incredibly easy to navigate and features iconic blue-painted doors and windows. Spend your day wandering through the artisan workshops (especially famous for intricate Thuya woodcarvings), relaxing on the sun-soaked beach, or enjoying fresh seafood at a terrace café overlooking the ocean. The town perfectly blends relaxation with cultural discovery. You will spend the night at a local accommodation in Essaouira.

DAY 11: ESSAOUIRA → CASABLANCA

Enjoy a final morning in Essaouira to take a peaceful walk on the beach or pick up some last-minute souvenirs in the Medina.

Later, you will embark on the coastal drive back to Casablanca. The journey takes roughly four and a half hours, offering beautiful, shifting landscapes along the Moroccan coastline. Upon arriving in the dynamic city of Casablanca, you will check into your comfortable hotel for your final night in Morocco.
