DAY 1: TANGIER → CHEFCHAOUEN
Your 6 days tour from Tangier to Marrakech commences with a warm reception at Tangier airport, one of its ports, or your designated hotel. Our hospitable local guide will be there to greet you and guide you through every step of your trip.
Following your arrival, we will take a scenic drive to the charming town of Chefchaouen, nestled amidst the picturesque Rif Mountains in northern Morocco. Upon arrival, settle into your comfortable accommodation at a cozy hotel or riad, surrounded by the town’s iconic blue-painted streets. Take your time to explore this unique town, known for its vibrant markets, quaint cafes, and authentic Moroccan cuisine.

DAY 2: CHEFCHAOUEN → VOLUBILIS → MEKNES → FES
Start your day with a delightful breakfast at your Riad, followed by a scenic drive through the charming Rif villages, immersing yourself in the serene beauty of the Moroccan countryside. Our journey takes us to Volubilis, a site steeped in history as a former Roman city.
Explore the ancient ruins of Volubilis, known for its remarkably preserved mosaics and impressive public buildings dating back to the 3rd century. Walking through these ruins offers a window into the lives of the Romans who once inhabited this area, enriching your understanding of history.
Next on our itinerary is Meknes, a city with a rich heritage as Morocco’s former capital in the 17th century. DAY 3: GUIDED TOUR OF FES
Get ready to uncover the timeless charm of Fes, one of Morocco’s most captivating imperial cities. Known for its deep-rooted traditions and cultural vibrancy, Fes invites you to step back in time and experience a day filled with history, heritage, and architectural marvels.
Your journey begins with a stop at the grand gates of the Royal Palace — a striking introduction to the city’s regal past. From there, venture into the heart of the old Medina, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Wander through its winding alleys and bustling souks as your guide leads you to landmarks like Al-Qarawiyyin University, the Al-Attarine Madrasa, the beautiful Nejjarine fountain, and the colorful Chouara Tanneries.
The tour continues into the historic Jewish quarter, known as the Mellah, where you’ll gain a deeper understanding of Fes’ multicultural identity and Jewish heritage. Following breakfast at your riad in Fes, you will go on an exhilarating desert journey. We will travel southward toward Merzouga, with a delightful stopover in Ifrane for a scenic break and a chance to soak in the natural beauty.
Our route leads us to a cedar forest nestled in the Middle Atlas Mountains, where you will encounter Barbary apes amidst serene surroundings. Enjoy a satisfying lunch at a local restaurant en route before continuing your adventure to the picturesque Ziz Valley, famed for its lush oasis full of palm trees.
As afternoon approaches, we arrive at the town of Merzouga, commencing a traditional camel caravan across the mesmerizing Erg Chebbi sand dunes. Traverse the desert landscape, pausing to watch an amazing sunset atop a high dune. Following this magical scene, arrive at a luxury desert camp.
Upon reaching the camp, settle into your private tent for relaxation. Indulge in a delectable dinner experience before gathering around a crackling bonfire beneath the star-studded sky. Immerse yourself in the rhythmic beats of Berber music performed by the camp’s talented staff, with an opportunity for you to try your hand at drumming as well.
DAY 5: MERZOUGA DESERT → RISSANI → TODRA GORGE → DADES VALLEY
Start your day with a delightful wake-up call to catch the mesmerizing sunrise illuminating the Erg Chebbi dunes. Following a satisfying breakfast, you will have the option to continue your journey from the camp, either on camelback or aboard a 4×4 vehicle, toward the town of Merzouga. Your designated driver will be ready to accompany you on the onward adventure to Dades Valley.
En route, immerse yourself in the exploration of beautiful destinations, including the vibrant market in Rissani (available on market days: Sunday, Tuesday, or Thursday). Take a leisurely walk through the picturesque Todra Gorge, where the beauty of the Todra River unfolds before your eyes.
Prepare to be amazed by the remarkable rock formations resembling monkey fingers in Dades Valley. Traverse the scenic Dades Valley, offering panoramic vistas of the Dades Gorges, before reaching your accommodation for the night. Relax and enjoy a restful evening in the comfort of a splendid hotel.
DAY 6: DADES VALLEY → OUARZAZATE → AIT BEN HADDOU → HIGH ATLAS MOUNTAINS → MARRAKECH
As we reach the end of your 6 days trip from Tangier to Marrakech, our final day begins with a drive towards Ouarzazate, known as the “Hollywood of Africa” and the “Gateway to the Desert.” Here, you will have the option to explore Atlas Studios, Morocco’s largest film studio, offering insights into iconic movie sets.
Following the studio visit, we will proceed towards Ait Ben Haddou, home to the famous Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Kasbah was used as a background in many famous films like “Indiana Jones”, “Gladiator”, and the famous TV series “Game of Thrones”. Explore the rich history of this site, marveling at its amazing architecture.
After a delightful lunch break, our journey leads us over the majestic High Atlas Mountains, treating you to breathtaking vistas of the surrounding landscape. We will arrive in Marrakech by late afternoon, marking the conclusion of your memorable 6-day desert tour from Tangier to Marrakech.
